GIVE IT A GO - Why I decided to start a blog

Sometimes in life you've just got to get out there and try something new. After all, what have you got to lose?....ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! 

It's because of this that I have decided to go ahead and  start a blog. It'll focus on all things interior related - especially if they are black, white, bright or neatly organised. I've also started a blog focusing on the amazing little people God brings into our lives - children ('all things kids'). I wouldn't say I'm a 'pro' in any other these areas, but I have some ideas, and friends and family are constantly telling me they're good ones - here's hoping you agree!


I hope you enjoy following me on my new journey as much as I am going to enjoy the process. I hope you   find something along the way to inspire, encourage and motivate you.

Yellow, black and white

I love grouping objects with the same colour or style together. It's a great way to make a statement.

I started an Interior Design course a few months ago. It's something I've wanted to do for a VERY LONG TIME. It's inspired me to try some new things in my own home. After thinking for a long time about a new colour I could accessorise with in my lounge room, I decided to jump in and try yellow. Here's some pics that inspired me......

I am a bit of a fan of the zig-zag pattern at the moment. Imagine my delight when I walked into Target the other day and found large, yellow and white zig-zag cushions for a very reasonable price - YAY!!! I bought them, tried them out on all my lounges and finally decided they looked best on the black leather lounge. The contrast between the black, white and yellow looks great!

A couple weeks later, I found this beautiful yellow desk lamp.

But I still needed one more yellow accessory to join it all together..... I chose some yellow 'sticks'. I am really happy with the result and the yellow makes the room feel relaxed and happy, and it's been a good change.
